Germanic warrior

How I think of a germanic warrior by the time of the Battle of Teutoburg forest. I read somewhere that we shouldn't expect all the non-roman warriors to have been equipped with forged weapons, but weapons made of wood, he and not just something blunt picke from the ground, but more shaped for the purpose.
This certain bloke have a rather nice shield, been lauging to myself when thinking of a scenario '' Buuuut muuum, I want a cool sword instead of a shield!!'' and she reply ''Listen to your mother young man, one day you'll thank me!''.
The shield is quite celtic in design. The boots are roman. The cloak is fastened with some kind of sharpened bone, it's been a while since I read Germania, but I think I recall that Tacitus say that the germans used bone, stick or thorns to fasten clothing. It freaks me out a little to think of thorn large enough to hold a cloak but OK.
The hair is.. just hair. I didn't want to do a suebian knot, so this is one messy hairknot. Without any source!
